The Creative Mind

Adobe - The Creative MindIt's been a little while since we've seen a hot Adobe web advertisement like this... The visually eye-blowing site features the work of several design studios and image makers, spread across a universe of three exquisitely rendered, illustrated, and animated planets. The result is a free-flowing, interactive animated experience that shows off the new capabilities of Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 within the abstract framework of a designer's mental universe. Not to be missed.... More

etnies

etniesetnies, the sports brand that all the skater kids love, has recently released a massive site(s) for its many different products. Basically, it's 8 sites rolled into one, under a plywood branded umbrella, with numerous different blogs and lines of shoes and clothing for every extreme sport you could image. We love the dark woody branding and be sure to catch the etnies Girls site too—it's a little different, and quite nice.... More

Meubelen Van Aerde

Meubelen Van AerdeWe've always been big fans of wood textures in websites – and even more so when it compliments the subject matter. In this case, the site is for a Belgian furniture design company. And like the furniture itself, the site uses classic grid-based design—pure simplicity with wood texture backgrounds.... More

The Enchanted Office

The Enchanted OfficeMicrosoft strikes our pages again with some imaginative advertising for their new Microsoft Office 2007 rollout. This web advert takes the form of a ten page illustrated fairy tale comic book that features a fairy tale princess CEO who saves her woodland empire through the wonders of Office’s newly redesigned interface. Kudos for Microsoft for breaking out of the usual boundries of creativity in promoting software products.... More

T.I.S. - The Art of Philip JordanLike a low-fi Star Wars in a cardboard box, this spectacular Flash website design comes to you from a galaxy far, far away... Ok, well, not that far these days if you live in Europe... This is the art portfolio of a German born painter and graffiti artist, whose spray-can work and art features funky characters, and colorful animals. And actually, without being rude, we thought the site itself at times outshined the work inside. Simply out of this world!... More

Hollywoodland

Hollywoodland: Frank Lloyd WrightA beautiful and simple minimalist tribute to a set of five Los Angeles homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1920's. These designs of his, defined by the concrete brick work, are simply summed up - not with so many words - but with a series of full-screen photographs... the remainder of the inpretation is up to you.... Wrangler Europe

Wrangler EuropeThis dark and lovley site for Wrangler Jeans in Europe has some really cool interactive Flash feedback, photos, and illustrations that certainly give this old-school brand some much needed modern mystique. Defintely bringing the cool back to the denim addicted, this site lays a natural foundation for some re-branding Wrangler's of original name, Blue Bell, which is now is own sub-line of high-end jeans fabrics called Blue Bella.... Center for Digital Amnesia

Center for Digital AmnesiaWhat do you get when you a real Microsoft product with a fake disease? The Center for Digital Amnesia Awareness! Featuring Colby Chester (you might recognize him as the Bad Guy from Dukes of Hazard, Episode #4) and a lemur in a ballet leotard. This real online ad for Microsoft Home Servers makes you take a second look - it's certainly not the usual line-up of dry corporate facts and photos, but rather a video and actor driven, tongue-in-cheek parody of advertising. Corny? Yes! Effective? Absolutely.... More

The Coke side of life

The Coke side of lifeCollaborating with a number of ad agencies, this online adaptaion of a Coca-Cola campaign is flooded with rich graphics and visual goodies - essentially an animated world where you can download all manner of online knick-knacks, explore fan-sites, play games, and discover tons of cross-promotions. While we feel somewhat dubious as to the true usefulness of a site like this, as a pure artistic splash of animated exploration, its certainly a treat for the eyes. All text and copy in German.... DUBOIS meets FUGGER

DUBOIS meets FUGGERDUBOIS meets FUGGER is a Belgian agency with an extremely creative website, featuring a funny little man, 31 different transitional animations and 5 little secrets hidden throughout the website. Probably one of the finer online works we've found, and certainly the best of 2007, so far. "Dubois" creates print, advertising and publicity for a number of established Belgian agencies. Enjoy this playful site, with illustrations by Eugene and Louise. Flash design by Studio Plum.... More

Acura MDX

Acura MDX (Canada)A fairly fun site for Acura (Canada) that provides far more than a fair approximation of what this SUV feels like. In fact, beyond providing intimate marketing details of every feature of this automobile, it enacts several Flash powered 3-D dramatizations of futuristic special effects, like for instance, the hybrid hovercraft/suspension - that you really have to see for yourself. What more can we say? Go for it!... More

Photographer Simon Hoegsberg

Photographer Simon HoegsbergWe're loving the clean, minimal site of this travel and people photographer from Copenhagen, Denmark. The presentations and grouping really add something to the photos, which get the pro treatment and feel as if they were presented in a type of mini-gallery. Everything here is done right to give these images the showcase and platform they deserve as conceptual collections. We especially liked the Faces of New York exhibit, and a few other urban photos that have some of the feel of Garry Winogrand photos from 50's and 60's New York.... More
