La Moi

La Moi La Moi captures the soft feminine qualities of a design made for a fashionable little clothing company based in Cantabria, Spain. The delicate lines, soft transitions and allusions to movie star glamour - think "Breakfast at Tiffanies" - make this a perfect place to sell these floral creations and dainty clothes of these designers.... Interact 10 Ways

Interact 10 Ways | Getty ImagesIn a semi-promotional experimental collaboration, Getty Images teams up with 5 renown designers and agencies (Sumona, The Barbarian Group, Tomato, Less Rain and Great Works) to create 10 exploratory interactive pieces. The firms conceptualized and developed some interesting hybrids of playful interaction and visual experimentations that focus on and around photographs from Getty's huge archive of stock imagery. And each module has its own interesting aspects, but the two by Sumona (the only designer without an established web presence) - especially one called "information" - are just not to be missed.... EbOY

EbOY | hello eboy XV After all these years, still pumping out the bits and pushing the pixels, EbOY continues to be the ultimate pixel illustrators paradise. More isometric angles and bizarre pixel illustrations than you can shake a magic wand at, EbOY truly is the king of all pixel designers. And this is the palace of all of their art... from the eCity Pixorama to the pixel portraits, this is an online cornucopia of digital goodness. 'Nuff said.... More

Bottega Veneta

Bottega VenetaIn a very refined showcase of high-end luxury handbags, clothes, jewelery and pieces for the home, the Bottega Veneta site sets a smooth and sophisticated presence—the site almost appears to breathe with a sensuous, earthly glow. While the products are certainly driven by perfect product shots, the pleasing colors and minimal Flash effects add the right lush touch. Specifically we enjoyed the light pencil overlays in the Home Collection area. Yes, each area has its own special finishings... and from end-to-end, the Bottega Veneta site is sexy perfection in a sumptuous shell.... More

EnBW Spamrecycler

EnBW SpamrecyclerHow many do you get each day? As you can expect, we get hundreds. But there's hope! In one of the more curious experimental designs we've seen in recent years, the Spam Recycler turns your data waste into art. We're not sure how it works - sounds like Star Trek technology - but somehow the emails you submit get shredded and broken down into little particles and then are used to create virtual graphics and small personal pieces that you can print out or use as a desktop background. Brilliant!... More

The North Atlantic

The North AtlanticA site for the indy rock band The North Atlantic that uses full-sized industrial photographs with a navigation merged with the bands orginal artwork to create an gritty atmosphere that fits the music extremely well. We liked the way the main navigation (on the right) pops up differently for each page, yet is still completely usable and recognizable - regardless of different placement and artwork (...the left navigation icons are also nice, but those take you outside of the main site to affiliate sites and blogs). Overall, a very tenacious portrayal of a modern American wasteland sets the right tone for this rock band with punk influences.... More

Sunday River Golf Course Tour

Sunday River Golf Course TourEvery once in a Internet moon we stumble across a web site that has us (gasp) literally lacking for any kind of criticism or improvements. Such is the Sunday River Interactive Golf Course Tour, which packs in every conceivable bit of information one could imagine about a golf course into a compact, interactive tour that leaves little more to want. From drill-down photos to yardage estimates to clear and concise information about each hole, even someone with zero enthusiam for the sport will enjoy peeking into this world and exploring a birds-eye view of the superb golf course design from legendary designer Robert Trent Jones Jr.... WearYELLOW

WearYELLOW LiveSTRONGIn honor of Floyd Landis' amazing effort in the Tour de France today (he reclaimed almost all of his 8 lost minutes in a single stage), we had to post up a little homage to another undeniable Tour de France tour de force... Who else? Of course, Lance Armstrong. The WearYELLOW site is where you can keep track of Lance's life after the tour, buy one-of-a kind Alps D'Huez sneakers and the infamous yellow band from his LiveStrong Foundation. We wish Floyd luck in the last few stages to reclaim the lead and to follow strongly in Lances' historic path.... More

A Scanner Darkly

A Scanner DarklyBased on legendary science-fiction author Philip K. Dick's own experiences, "A Scanner Darkly" tells the darkly comic, but deeply tragic tale of drug use in the modern world. The film plays like a graphic novel come to life with live-action photography overlaid with an advanced animation process-a method known as interpolated rotoscoping, first empolyed in Richard Linklaters 2001 film "Waking Life" - to create a haunting vision of America seven years from now. The site design, which is extremely digitized and pixelated, places the user behind the scanning console themselves, scanning the film and actors, but in turn also being tracked as you view the site. A very cool looking production.... More

Beautiful Freak

Beautiful FreakI've always personally considered myself somewhat of a Naked Freak... meaning I have no tatoos or piercings... and that's just been my preference. But Beautiful Freak has a beautiful website that showcases a style of tatooing that I've always thought is the only way to do tatoos... And that is with a personalized style and custom fit. Seriously, what's the point of needling indelible ink into your skin if it's the same artwork that Bob from Nowheresville has... and he got it before you did? None... Therefore, if you are into a style of tribal, abstract or even geometric, but don't want to copy Bob, then Beautiful Freak is the place to experiment with your custom fit and personalized pattern. The site is so nice, it even made me consider getting a piercing... but of course, it would tastefully complement my new custom tatoo.... More

Automobili Lamborghini

Automobili LamborghiniThe official Lamborghini website is the ultimate purist site for an Italian sports car lover. It does exactly what an exotic sports cars design company should do... And that's the opposite of thrilling you with special car games or cooler-than-thou navigation... Lamborghini righteously showcases their entire auto history with full-screen photographs, specs and measurments of some of the sickest cards known to man - from the very first model to today's ultra refined speed machines. Done up in the simplest black, with a totally minimal navigation yet a healthy heap of attitude, you may have to look twice to realize it's a full Flash site. All the effects and transitions are played down as to reduce their interference with the goods... And for any sports car purist, 'the goods' are the sexy, aggresive and mind-blowing designs of the Lamborghini autos themselves.... More

Test Drive Unlimited

Test Drive UnlimitedIn a continuing sign of the explosion of video gaming to come, Atari rises from the ashes to release a first-of-its-kind Massivly Multiplayer Online racing game for the XBOX360 platform. Test Drive Unlimited is the signature release for the 360 (much as Halo was for the first generation XBOX) which is virtually set on 1000 miles of 3D roads on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Test Drive brings many unprecedented online features to the racing genre and is the first title to fully showcase the true power of the new triple-processor system. If you haven't been keeping up with video games since the days of Spy Hunter then you'll be astounded by the graphics available for home systems which undoubtedly rival the realism of 3D created for blockbuster animation movies. We're very happy that Atari has released a slick, flashy site that describes all of the features, and provides fresh... More
