Why they have no logo on their site is a mystery to us – since they specialize in logos, typography and letterhead development for their tight group of clients. But no matter... Who says they need one anyway? Not when they create such powerful and clean design work for print, packaging, and even make some pretty slick looking websites too. Their entire portfolio, in fact, is a testament to the undeniable power of solid typographical skills... from a firm that has no logo—go figure.... More

Telegramme studio

Telegramme is a pretty cool little design and illustration partnership specialising in silk screen printing of posters and patterns. Initially a collaboration working via the postal service, Telegramme snowballed in to a fully fuctional studio thanks to a mutual love of music, art and the receiving of post. We really liked their gritty mixed up illustration style that balances old vintage images with new computer design techniques - which coalesces nicely in their afore-mentioned poster and pattern designs. Cool stuff.... More

Studio Output

An excellent design portfolio of a print, graphics and identity design firm. Although they do not specialize in web design, they had their friends (AllofUs.org) put together a truly magnificent minimal Flash portfolio that really puts the ideas and work first. Yes, the graphic design campaigns inside are excellent, yet its even easier to appreciate because the site makes you read (and think) a little first, instead of just quick-clicking through everything. Very nice indeed.... More

Construction paper cutouts and ‘primitive’ pen marks run rampant at the studio aka site. Some nice illustrations, but after perusing the sample pages, we have to say, um, "been there, done that." Sure, they've won awards, but if the London based production company doesn’t inject a little variety (and reach out from the UK), their days may be numbered. That being said, they can probably use the ‘singular style’ style for identity recognition, aka "branding."... More

Stuart Tolley Studio is the online home of U.K.-based Stuart Tolley, who was previously a designer at Sleazenation, and then Esquire Magazine. Stuart formed his own studio to house his award winning work - created for various lifestyle clients from the world of independent record labels and book publishers, to fashion labels and magazine publishers. His work features some great typography, in either (or both) "clean" minimal, and "dirty" distressed styles. And we really enjoyed his book cover designs.... More
