An engrossing showcase of photo-illustrated design, wispy graphics, explosive compostions and the random skull, graffiti tag, or rainbow next to a beautiful model. Sure it's trendy, and nothing you haven't really seen before... or is it? On closer inspection, the work of Drew Flaherty goes an extra step, breathing in more detail into each inch of design, and producing a rich tapestry of different styles that together evoke quite a beautiful, mystical quality. Who needs substance when you can have visual satisfaction and a lingering emotion that makes you think, je ne sais quoi? Primarily an exhibition artist, Evan Hecox has a smallish portfolio, but the pieces that form his online presence are tight. This guy knows what he's doing. The messages are rich and well balanced, although it’s sometimes difficult to know exactly what Mr. Hecox is trying to sell.
